About this product
Unlined, so the hide is the bag rather than a covering over something else. It is a harder way to build — every edge has to be burnished and every stitch is visible — and the reason it is done is that an unlined bag can be taken apart and rebuilt, which a lined one effectively cannot.
Saddle-stitched with two needles and waxed linen thread. A saddle stitch does not unravel when a single stitch fails, unlike a machine lock stitch. Corvara re-edges, re-stitches and re-dyes its own bags for as long as they exist, at cost.
