About this product
The back hoop is a single length of ash steam-bent over a former and left to set for six weeks — a process that cannot be hurried and is the reason this chair takes four months to reach a shipping container. A laminated bend would be quicker and would not have the same spring against the back.
The seat is saddled by hand from 30mm solid ash: about 11mm of relief across the width, which is the difference between a chair that is comfortable for twenty minutes and one that is comfortable for a dinner. Stacks three high.

Better than I expected
Arrived two days early and packed properly. Everything on the listing matched what turned up, including the parts I half expected to be marketing.

Better than I expected
Packaging was minimal and recyclable, which I appreciated. The product itself is well finished and the instructions were clear enough that I did not need to look anything up.

Second one I have bought
Second purchase. The first is still in daily use eighteen months on, which is why there is a second.

No complaints at all
Three months in and no change in how it performs. That is really the whole review — it has not developed a fault, a squeak or a loose part.

Good, with one reservation
The build quality is genuinely good and I have no complaints there. It is a little heavier than I wanted, which the listing does state — I just did not weigh the alternative before ordering.

Would buy again
I bought this after reading the specification twice and it is accurate. The finish is even, nothing rattles, and the weight is what was stated rather than what was hoped for.
