About this product
Counterweighted rather than sprung, which means it stays where it is put for the life of the lamp — a spring-balanced arm sags after a few years and there is nothing to be done about it. The trade is mass: 3.2 kg, most of it in the base, and it does not fold flat.
The LED module is a standard GX53 that unscrews, so the lamp outlives its light source. 95 CRI at 2700K or 4000K, dimmable to 5% on a rotary at the head rather than in the cable.
Highlights
- Counterweighted, not sprung — no sag over time
- Standard GX53 LED module, replaceable
- 95 CRI, dimmable to 5% on a rotary at the head
- Solid brass arm and oak base, 3.2 kg
- Rotary dimmer at the head, not a lump in the cable

Genuinely well made
Three months in and no change in how it performs. That is really the whole review — it has not developed a fault, a squeak or a loose part.

Not for me
The item is as described but it does not suit how I use it, which is my error rather than the seller’s. Return was handled quickly and without argument.

Genuinely well made
Ordered on a Tuesday and it was here Thursday. Setup was straightforward and the documentation actually covered the thing I got stuck on.

Better than I expected
Second purchase. The first is still in daily use eighteen months on, which is why there is a second.

Would buy again
The reason I chose this over the cheaper option was the published measurement, and having compared the two side by side, the difference is real and worth the gap.
