About this product
Fanless, which means silent and also means a sustained wattage of 12 W — enough for writing, mail, terminals and a browser with too many tabs, and not enough for a compile that takes an hour. Northmark states this plainly rather than letting a buyer discover it.
The keyboard has 1.4mm of travel in a chassis 15.9mm thick, which took a scissor mechanism designed rather than bought. It is the reason the Field weighs 60 g more than it might have.

Worth the money
I bought this after reading the specification twice and it is accurate. The finish is even, nothing rattles, and the weight is what was stated rather than what was hoped for.

Worth the money
The reason I chose this over the cheaper option was the published measurement, and having compared the two side by side, the difference is real and worth the gap.

Would buy again
Ordered on a Tuesday and it was here Thursday. Setup was straightforward and the documentation actually covered the thing I got stuck on.

Solid, not exceptional
Works well and looks right. Delivery took longer than the estimate by three days, which was communicated but still slower than I planned around.

Three months in and no change in how it performs. That is really the whole review — it has not developed a fault, a squeak or a loose part.
